A BIGGGGG congrats goes out to Zach Frick for being named Player of the Year in multiple publications. Zach was named POY for the NJ Herald and also named Co-POY for Mugs Media. Quite an accomplishment for a junior! Zach helped to lead Sparta to a very successful 22-6 season that ended with a loss to Teaneck in which they were very competitive and Zach poured in 29 points. Another major highlight was the game at Pope John where Zach was unstoppable with 33 in the huge victory at the enemies gym.

Zach’s success is not at all a surprise when you consider how hard he worked last off-season. He is what I call a basketball junkie. There are not many out there any more, so they are very easy to identify (especially since I am one myself). Constantly working on his game, looking to improve, seeking out better competition. Below are some re-posted videos from last summer of some training that we at BT Basketball did with Zach. Check them out, and start thinking about what you have to do this off-season to accomplish YOUR goals!

Check out this first video where Zach describes what his goals were for the upcoming season. You have to know what you’re working towards!

Check out this next one of Zach and all time leading area high school scorer Matt Tobin getting a great summer workout in…

Here’s one more. This is the final installment of the Zach, Radz and BT series. After an almost 3 hour workout, we finished up by going one on one on one. Zach flashes a lot of the moves he used this year on unsuspecting opponents.
