Ok very excited for this next video series. If you haven’t yet checked out the Matt and Zach series, check out the 3 videos below for some great drills done at proper speed.
This new series of videos comes from a workout done with myself, Sparta point guard Zach Frick, and former Hofstra player Mike Radzieski (for Mike’s brand new interview, click on the “Interview” tab up top. You won’t be disappointed).
In Part 1, take a look at the first set of drills we went through. Utilizing a chair as a defender, we went through a series of dribbling moves to get by that defender, and exploded to the basket from there, finishing at the rim. Notice the speed at which these drills are performed. You MUST go hard when attempting to improve your game! Too many people go through the motions and you will never get any better doing that. Watch closely how much Zach and Mike explode by the chair and finish strong at the basket.
We went through a variety of moves, including a crossover, through the legs, behind the back, spin move, inside out, stutter step, killer crossover. We alternated sides each time in order to work on finishing layups with both hands. Took a quick break in between, and what did we do? (if you have been following this blog with any regularity, you are already yelling out… “shoot foul shots!!!” And you would be correct). Always shoot free throws after drills while you are tired!!!!
