Consistency is the name of the game for Megan Baird.

The 2013 Pope John graduate has had a lot of inconsistencies in her basketball career — coaching changes, sporadic playing time. She found
consistency during her high school years playing AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball. And she found it in college ball last season, starting every game for DeSales University of Center Valley, Pa.

That’s why Baird thinks she’s in a good spot as she looks ahead to her junior season with DeSales.

A returning starter at shooting guard who averaged 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game as a sophomore, Baird could be on the brink of something big next winter.

“I’ve only really had one season of playing collegiate basketball legitimately,” Baird said while working as a counselor during one of Brian
Thomas’ BT Basketball Camps at the Sparta Police Athletic League building.
